Terms of service
Last updated 2 July 2026
These terms cover your use of Palate, a hosted MCP server operated by Jiffi. By creating an account, connecting the MCP, or using the reference data, you agree to them.
The service
Palate serves structured design intelligence (facets, design tokens, do and don't rules, signature moves and component prompts) drawn from real websites, over the Model Context Protocol, so your AI builder can ground its work in real craft. The service is read-only: it provides reference data and does not modify your project.
Accounts and tokens
You are responsible for keeping your API token secret and for all activity under your account. Your token is shown once, on creation, and stored only as a hash; if you lose it, create a new one and revoke the old. Do not share tokens across organisations you do not control. You must provide accurate account details and be able to form a binding contract.
Reference data: no redistribution, no dataset-building
The reference data is the core of Palate and the terms below are load-bearing. You may use it to inform, ground, and build your own websites and those of your clients. You may not:
- ·redistribute, resell, sublicense, or republish the reference data or any substantial part of it, whether raw or lightly reworded;
- ·bulk-export, scrape, or use automated means to extract the catalogue or a substantial part of it, or attempt to circumvent the per-call and per-plan limits that meter access;
- ·use the reference data to build a competing dataset, corpus, index, or search product, or to train, fine-tune, or evaluate a machine-learning model intended to reproduce it;
- ·remove or obscure attribution where we provide it.
Grounding a single build, or a client's build, in the references is exactly what Palate is for and is always allowed. Rebuilding the library is not.
Acceptable use
Do not use Palate to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to overload or probe the service. We may suspend access that threatens the stability or integrity of the service or breaches these terms.
Plans, payment and cancellation
Paid plans are billed through Stripe on the cycle shown at checkout. Prices are as listed on our pricing page. You can cancel from the billing area at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
Availability and warranty
We work to keep Palate available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The reference data is guidance for your own work; you are responsible for what you ship.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Jiffi is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Termination
You can stop using Palate and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of these terms. The reference-data restrictions survive termination.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected here with a new date. Questions go to hello@palatemcp.com. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. See also our privacy policy.
