The catalogue reaches 2,169 deeply-analysed sites across close to 50 verticals, with the thinner categories (health, hospitality, professional services, trades) built out to real depth. Every reference carries the full taste layer as structured data: design tokens, signature moves, real inner pages and do/don't rules.
The homepage learns to play
A full homepage rebuild in public: a word-by-word entrance, a living fluid gradient the cursor stirs, a dock-style gallery of the eight demo builds, and a footer pattern of the wordmark that breaks and piles up when you reach the very bottom. One geometry law now runs the whole site: square surfaces, pill actions.
Pricing v2: a free tier you can actually survey with, and the Build Pass
Free is now 50 deep reference reads a month with no daily cap (search stays unlimited). New one-time Build Pass: US$39 for 14 days of unlimited deep reads, one site, no subscription. Studio gains 10 API tokens and priority reference sourcing.
The library grows to 1,456 sites; Palate goes portable
1,180 new deeply-analysed references join the catalogue (now 1,456 sites across 24 verticals). And Palate now works beyond Claude Code: create-palate scaffolds a gated Astro project for Cursor, Codex, Gemini and Copilot, with the same anti-generic checks enforced by git hook and CI.
The build gate learns to see interaction
The plugin's quality gate now runs a real pointer and keyboard pass over every build: focus visibility, hover-menu dismissal, phantom utility classes and per-section overflow are all checked on the rendered page before a build may finish.
One-line connect, and the plugin marketplace
Palate installs as a Claude Code plugin from the public marketplace, and the MCP connects with a single command in any client. OAuth sign-in shipped for clients that cannot carry a bearer token (claude.ai, ChatGPT).
Palate is live
The hosted MCP is serving the reference library to AI builders. Connect Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf with one line, then ground your build in real, deeply-analysed sites. Ten refs_* tools, design tokens, and inner-page depth, all behind a single token.
